The Academy boasts clients who are new to the world of showing through to the most seasoned campaigners, people who are starting out at open show level, learning to present their dog to its best advantage and those who are campaigning their dogs successfully at Championship show level throughout the seven Kennel Club group classifications, for example utilities, pastoral, terrier etc.
Usually run as specialist one day courses, these days include:
- Coat preparation – vital for that all important show finish!
- Balance and Proportion – shaping your dog to show off its best advantage
- Learn the tricks of the trade – breed specific inside information
- Hand stripping, maintaining the coat length whilst campaigning your show dog
- Learn how to use your scissors - schh - in a way that no one will be able to tell
- Learn how to add that extra sparkle for both yourself and your dog.
Katrina also prepares other peoples show dogs for the ring, those who are too busy to do it themselves, book early to avoid disappointment especially in preparation for Crufts.

I took Toffee to Kat as he has a tremendous amount of coat and it was difficult to see his outline, so I needed a good groomer who could thin his coat out and show his outline better. After Kat had finished her work on Toffee he looked fabulous and went on to win his 4th CC at Birmingham City. I would highly recommend taking your dog to Kat where they will be looked after and spoilt rotten.

You can always rely on a warm and friendly welcome when you visit the grooming salon. Katrina has many qualifications and trains other people who want to be groomers, her work is of the highest standard. My many wins this year I feel are down to the fact the puppies are presented at their best. I have been most impressed at Katrina"s loving way she treats the dogs she is grooming. I have no hesitation in recommending Katrina she is simply the best.
